Subject: Medicare Crossover Claims
The Medicaid Program of the Health Care Authority requires additional information in order to successfully submit Medicare crossover claims through direct data entry for professional claims.
With 5010 software implementation January 1, 2012, changes were made to the direct data entry (DDE) screens for Professional claims. Providers are now required to enter Medicare information at both the claim level in addition to the line level. When entering Medicare information at the claim level, please ensure the amounts entered are the sum of the amounts entered at the line level.

Learn step by step instructions by visiting the DDE Medicare Crossover Claims for 5010 Fact Sheet at http://hrsa.dshs.wa.gov/pdf/provider/FactSheet/5010dde_medicare_crossover_claims_factsheet.pdf

A New, Improved Design & Layout for the Medical Aid Rules and Fee Schedules (MARFS) Payment Policies Manual

How do medical providers know how they’ll get paid for treating Washington’s injured workers? They look to L&I’s MARFS Payment Policies manual to find answers…it hasn’t always been so easy to find those answers within the manual - now it is!  I have not seen a better department website to aid providers.

February 1, 2012, L&I launched a new design and layout for the MARFS Payment Policies manual  to make it easier to search through and find information
